Jio is expected to launch its much-rumoured and awaited feature phone today. According to speculations, the business might cost the smartphone at Rs 500. The business has tied up with nationally smartphone manufacturer Intex for the production of this feature phone. Jio 999 Phone Launch date is 24 August 2017.
Earlier this week a report in Economic Times claimed that the co-developed phone will be priced by Jio by means of a subsidy model. Intex is very likely to manufacture the phones in India. As per the TechPP file, the phone includes a 2.4-inch display and sports a dual-language keypad. As widely rumored, the display isn’t touchscreen. It includes a dedicated torchlight.
On the rear panel, the phone sports 2MP camera and is thought to come with 512MP RAM and 4GB internal memory.
There are no details about the processor, but some earlier reports had claimed that the phone will run on Spreadtrum 9820 processor. Spreadtrum is a China based company. The smartphone will run on KAI OS.
Yesterday a report claimed to have leaked the alleged phone’s pictures and packing. In the images that appeared on TechPP websites showed the phone sporting Reliance Jio’s Lyf branding. The business earlier too has launched a slew of smartphones under its Lyf brand.
